We are a purposefully small setting. Small enough to nature each child’s individual needs and interests but big enough to have the knowledge and ambition to inspire the children that anything is possible…
At the Lookout Day Nursery, we believe a positive experience at nursery helps your child to create strong and lasting foundations for later life. Working in partnership with our parents to promote each individual child’s development, we build authentic relationships with our children and nurture them to become confident, resilient and independent, ready for whatever the next chapter brings them.
When children join us they have the time to play and explore, the opportunity to talk and question, wonder and investigate, build the confidence to discover, create, and learn. At The Lookout, you will find spaces full of imagination and creativity that carefully weaves all aspects of learning and development across our indoor and outdoor environments, designed to enable young minds to flourish.

We love the outdoors. Children can wander, climb, splash, run, imagine or just dream in our specially designed outdoor spaces, whatever can be achieved indoors can also be achieved outside to!

We believe in family
This is why we have chosen to work with key families. So children, young and old, learn together. The older children relish in the responsibility of helping out, and the younger children have role models to aspire to.

We have taken the best elements from a variety of different philosophies and learning theories, including Reggio Emilia, Jerome Bruner, Forest School and Maria Montessori. We are not constricted by one ridged way of thinking, allowing us to be free to find ways to engage and inspire your child, with the best qualified and most experienced staff.
